KOOLKA$H - the Sedgefield Borough Children and Young People’s Development Fund is provided by and administered by Sedgefield Borough Council, with partnership funding from County Durham Children’s Fund. KOOLKA$H aims to improve the leisure time, social education, life skills and participation of children and young people within Sedgefield Borough by providing funding for appropriate group projects.

All prospective applicants should contact the Leisure Services Project Officer before making an application to discuss your project’s eligibility. If you feel your application needs an urgent response then please discuss this with the Project Officer as a fast track process is available.

Initially your application will be discussed by the Children and Young People Panel who will then pass your application and their comments to the Grants Panel who will decide whether the grant will be awarded.

Awards for All is the small grants scheme administered by the Big Lottery Fund on behalf of Lottery good cause funders, Arts Council England, Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Sport England. The scheme makes awards of between £300 and £10,000 to grass roots community groups and voluntary organisations.  They also fund projects for people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, as well as projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community.

During your Assessment appointment lasting 45 minutes we will explore the full history of your problem and conduct a detailed physical examination in order to give you a clear and comprehensive diagnosis.

We will give you clear guidelines on how to manage  and treat your problem.  Should further physiotherapy be required we will inform you what treatment we recommend.  Most musculoskeletal problems can be treated in an average of 4 to 6 sessions.

Treatment

Follow-up treatment sessions will last 30 minutes during which we will use a variety of hands-on treatment methods tailored to suit you and your problem.  You can book timed appointments to suit you.

Charges: per session

If you have private medical insurance you should be able to use it for physiotherapy or if your problem is the result of a work injury or traffic accident your employer or solicitor may arrange to pay for treatment.
